Connected accounts

Yes, you can connect multiple social providers. For example, if you initially signed up with Google, you can also connect your Github account by following the steps above.

If you signed up with an email and password, you can still connect a social provider to your account by following the steps outlined above. This will allow you to log in using either the social provider or your email and password.

We support Google and Github for social provider logins.

To set a password if you originally signed up using a social provider:

1. Go to your profile page.
2. Click Edit settings under the Personal information section.
3. Enter your desired password and save the changes.

This will enable you to log in with either the social provider or the email and password combination.

To disconnect a social provider:

1. Go to your profile page.
2. Click Edit settings under the Connected accounts section.
3. Select Disconnect next to the connected provider you want to disconnect.

Disconnecting an account

Yes, once you have set a password, you can log in using either your connected social provider or your email and password.

If you sign up with a social provider, then sign up again using your email/password then you’ll have two seperate Bytio accounts (even if the email address on both is the same).

If you wish to merge/combine this two Bytio accounts you could need to close close one of them and connect the social provider, or set an email/password, from the other.
