When adding or editing a zone, if the resources required to provision the zone are greater than the platform currently has available you will see the Waiting for approval notice in the zones list.

Zone waiting for approval

This indicates that the zone is waiting for approval by Bytio and is usually caused by a temporary shortage of IP inventory, which will resolve automatically.

Zones waiting for approval are not charged standing charges

You are not charged any standing (time-based) charges for zones in the Waiting for approval state. However you are still charged for usage charges if you run requests through the zone.

Once the zone is successfully provisioned you’ll receive an email and billing for standing (time-based) charges will start. If there is any condition that prevents the platform from provisioning the zone a member of the Bytio team will reach out to you via email with further options.

If you don’t wish to wait for the zone to be provisioned you may edit or delete the zone whilst it’s in the Waiting for approval state.
